Part Time Driver

Nestled in the Kent countryside is Ashurst Park Care Home, a peaceful facility with landscaped gardens, a wide variety of activities and amenities.

Job purpose: To transfer Service users as and when required

Required:

• Full Valid Drivers Licence
• Team player
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the Adult First list
• Good communication skills
• Less than 9 points on the Licence

Desired:

• 3 years driving experience

Main responsibilities

Driving

• Assist in the planning and transportation of service users
• Should you receive points on your licence or be arrested for any driving offence you must inform the Home Manager at your earliest opportunity
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe to use
• Reporting any issues relating to the vehicle
• Refuelling as necessary

Communication

• Participate in Staff and Service User meetings as required

Training and Development

• Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence
• Attend mandatory training days/course, on or off site as and when required

Health & Safety

• Comply with all normal rules and regulations to road safety

General

• Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Care Centre and Bondcare
• Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties
• Notify the Home Manager or Person in Charge as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty and also on your return to work from all periods of absence
• Ensure the security of the Care Centre is maintained at all times
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales
• Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
• Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you
