Housekeeper

We are looking for a houskeeper to join our team at Southwell Court Care home. Southwell Court care home is a 72 bed care home offering a mixture of single and double rooms for nursing and dementia care.

Job purpose: To work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Centre, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

Required:

• Team player
• Satisfactory DBS Check and check against the PoVA list
• Ability to work on own initiative

Main responsibilities

• Daily cleaning
• Empty waste bins and wipe out
• Vacuum throughout
• Shake out cushions
• Clean dining rooms/lounges/toilets
• Clean taps and sinks
• Clean soap dispenser outlets
• Clean toothbrush holders
• Spot clean all floorings
• Wash all bathroom/toilet/en-suite floor
• Polish all mirrors
• Clean all pipe work in toilets
• Dust handrails and radiators
• Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs) and vacuum and dust beneath/behind
• Wash out metal wastepaper bins
• Dust and polish furniture and windowsills
• Wash lino floors
• Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required
• Adhere to the Care Centres disposal of waste policy
• Report to the Home Manager, Housekeeper, Handyperson or Person in Charge any faulty appliances, damaged furniture equipment or any potential hazard
• Ensure that all existing stocks are maintained in a safe and tidy environment

• Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained

• Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you
